Origins Gran Canaria is a meeting of professionals born from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, with the aim of making visible and value the gastronomy of the island.

This year celebrates its 7th edition, with a staff of local, regional and national professionals unparalleled in the Canary Islands.

Some of the best professionals in the world, Dabiz Muñoz, Carme Ruscalleda, Morales, Oriol Castro, Torres Brothers, Marta Campillo or Pepe Solla, among others , have passed through the stage of this congress . And it has given prominence and visibility to local chefs such as Abraham Ortega, Borja Marrero, Cristina Monge, Alexis Álvarez and the Padrón Brothers, among others, who have added value to the island as a destination and who are references for young people who are still in training.
